NC Sod & Mulch was recently hired to install NorthBridge Bermuda grass sod for a resident of Hilltop Needmore Road in Fuquay-Varina, NC.

The yard is 6,000 square feet and as you can see in the first picture below the existing lawn was not thriving. It was packed with weeds and the color was, let’s say, less than vibrant.

After we removed the existing lawn we added organic composted topsoil to provide a nutrient rich growth medium for the new sod. For this job, minimal grading was needed, though on other jobs that can also be a big part of the process.

A crew of three men completed this job in one day – half the day was spent on prepping the soil, the rest of the day on cutting and laying the sod.

Cost of Sod Installation

The cost of sod installation is determined by a number of factors including: size of the lot, type of sod selected, if grading or other soil preparation are to be included.  In this case, the cost of the job as $5,500.

Our customer was thrilled with the results. We provided them with instructions on how to water and care for their new lawn to help it get established and thrive for years to come.
