We are always honored at NC Sod and Mulch LLC to receive invitations to bid on large scale construction projects with general contracting partners. The bidding process can be quite rigorous and our policies have changed starting this January.
Below are some FAQ’s.
- To request a bid on a project, please call us at (919) 802-6100. We will provide you with an email address to send all bid paperwork about the scope of the project.
- An initial ballpark quote will be sent via email.
- If the initial quote is accepted, a site visit is required.
- A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required before the site visit if it is a standard commercial install. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required if the site is located on a military base and requires security checks.
- This non-refundable deposit covers unlimited site visits and all paperwork required to set up the job. This deposit gets credited on the final payment.
- Submittal forms, 3d renderings, scope drawings, analysis reports, etc will not be submitted until the deposit is received.
- Your sod contract will be sent and must be signed by both parties.
- Certificates of Insurance will be presented for our General Liability Policies, Umbrella Policies, Worker’s Comp, and Business Auto and Equipment Policies
- A materials deposit is required to be put on our crew’s schedule and for materials to be ordered. Sod WILL NOT be ordered to be cut until the materials deposit is received.
- We will complete the work as outlined in the bid paperwork.
- Final payment is due 7-10 days after completion of the sod installation.
