We received a phone call last week from a customer that wanted us to move her swing set. After talking to her, we provided her with a estimate to restore her backyard with Compadre Zoysia Sod, move her swing set, and install playground mulch and premium triple shred. She was extremely happy with her back yard restoration. We were glad that we were able to help.

There are many benefits to installing mulch every year or so. Some people do not realize that mulching is done, not just for curb appeal, but several reasons. A good premium triple shred mulch provides nutrients to the soil as it breaks down over time, it inhibits the growth of weeds, and it also retains more moisture keeping plants and shrubs cooler in our harsh warm season climate.
Our team was recently in Cary installing 20 yards of premium triple shred mulch. The triple shred is by far our favorite mulch and the mulch we recommend all homeowners to use.

We do a lot of sod installations, but we don’t want people to think that that is all we do. We love regrading gravel driveways! It’s one of John’s favorite things to do. He says “sometimes it’s nice to climb into my machine and spread some gravel instead of moving grass”. In March we were called to Apex, to regrade a driveway.
The first photo was taken after he was about half way done. You can see what’s left of the pile of gravel in front of the machine.
The second photo was taken after he was all finished.

Our team was in Durham a few months ago. It was decided that Tall Fescue was the best grass for the area. A cold season grass, Fescue stays green all winter long. Due to the amount of shade, Tall Fescue was the best option for our customer in Durham.
To cut down on standing water, we piped his drains to the edge of the property.
We also updated his beds by adding new shrubs and evergreens and new mulch.

We had the pleasure a while ago of installing Compadre Zoysia sod for a homeowner that was trying to sell their house in Cary. Compadre Zoysia was chosen due to its tolerance for drought and high traffic. It was our pleasure to enhance the curb appeal of their beautiful house. Take a look at the photos below.

We have been hard at work for a while, so please excuse the gap in between posts. This past week, our team was in Holly Springs, for a yard remodel. The customer wanted to change from Fescue to Bermuda. It was a large job, but we were able to handle it despite the hot temperatures.
Tall Fescue is a cold weather grass that stays green all year round. While it looks fantastic in January, February, and March, during the hot summer months it looks ragged.
Bermuda is a classic warm weather grass that is green during the spring, summer, and fall, but then goes dormant in the winter. It has a high resistance to lots of traffic and animals. Take a look at the photos.
